Hypoallergenic Sweet Potato Dog Treats
Ingredients:
1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potato (cooled)
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
1/4 cup water (as needed for consistency)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and mashed sweet potato with coconut flour, melted coconut oil, and ground flaxseed.
Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add water a little at a time until it reaches a workable consistency.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or simply use a knife to create small squares.
Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the treats are firm and slightly golden.
Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog.
Note: Store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator. These hypoallergenic sweet potato treats are free from common allergens and provide a tasty option for dogs with sensitivities.
Always ensure that the ingredients used are safe for your dog, and consult with your veterinarian if you have specific concerns about your dog's allergies or dietary restrictions.
